School bus tracking software
School bus tracking for the vehicle a district already assigned.
Tardy keeps a driver location for the vehicle and puts that location on a dispatcher board. Dispatch can see which runs have a recent update and which updates are missing. This is school bus tracking software for the transportation office. It is not a finished physical driver-to-parent product.
What the dispatcher board shows
A run that already has a bus can show a location when the driver app has sent one. The board is the working surface for the transportation office: which vehicle is updating, and which update is stale or missing. The location belongs to the vehicle on that run. It is not a classroom roll and it is not proof that a particular student boarded.
Driver GPS has been exercised in development, including an Android emulator. A physical phone riding a moving bus in a district has not been accepted as a finished parent product. An iPhone can open the driver page and the parent page in Safari. That is a browser page. Safari location stops when the screen locks. Text alerts are not sent.
What this page does not promise
There is no price on this page. Creating a practice account does not activate a live district and does not start billing. The practice account is a synthetic setup. A parent view of one assigned stop is described on the parent bus location page. Route review and a named substitute on a run that already has a bus are described on the school transportation page.
